A great spot for a quick break on the road. The bakery is strategically located in an area where there aren't many options around, so it’s perfect for travellers needing a rest. They have clean restrooms for customers and a good variety of pies, sandwiches, snacks, and fresh, tasty food. Friendly service and a convenient stop. Definitely worth pulling over for.

We stopped at Maramarua Bakehouse Cafe for a feed on the way home we got a steak and cheese pie which was delicious also a curry spring roll which was very tasty, best of all was there vanilla milkshake. It was the best milkshake I had drank in a while. There dining area and toilets are kept very clean.

Went to have brunch as heard many good comments about the new bakehouse in Maramarua. The site of the old Pink Pig cafe. Refurbished throughout clean, and bright. The food was yummy, same as all bakehouse cafes. Reasonable prices. Tried the paua pie $10, it was delicious.

Nice, big and clean cafe. Very well stocked up with sandwiches and different meal sets. I ordered a flat white to perk me up. It was alright. Overall comfortable experience.

Really good pie. The pastry was just right - firm but not crunchy. Fancy enough to keep the Aucklanders happy, without being too pretentious. $6.80 for a steak and pepper. Tomato sauce available free of charge. Bathrooms available.

Everything looks fresh, friendly staff and bacon and egg pie at 5 am hit the spot! Definitely coming back for a cream pancake! Fully renovated and clean shop

Love how they've done this up since the 'PINK PIG' days. Had the best paua pie so far! Worth the $10 hands down. And always enjoyed the selection. Will keep supporting the locals!
